A natural approach to pain relief
The reality of life is that at some point in our existence, we all must definitely experience pain one way or the other. Don't get me wrong (I'm not a sadist), but either way, everyone experiences pain. Either as a result of an accident, in certain health conditions (think arthritis, menstruation, ulcers) or during delivery, we all eventually get to experience pain.
So far, modern advancements in science have led to the discovery of various therapeutic agents capable of managing pain such agents range from over the counter remedies such as Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDS) like Aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, celecoxib, etc to prescription only medications like Codeine, morphine, fentanyl, etc
The above-listed medications are used in the management and treatment of pain. But these medications also have various concomitant side effects depending on the duration of use, and in some cases depending on the severity of the pain, most don't provide relief.
The NSAIDS for one are known to cause ulcers; hence it is not recommended for ulcer patients, or for the management of chronic and neuropathic pains. Also, there's the risk of renal failure, myocardial infarction or even stroke. While the opportunity analgesics (codeine, morphine) are not without their own faults, as they are known to be highly addictive and prone to abuse.
However, there's good news. Addictive opioids and ulcerative NSAIDs are not the only options to choose from; there are more natural and safer options in pain management.
In addition to improved physical and self-care,CBD Oil can also be introduced/added as a plant-based natural adjunct for pain relief. Whether it's acute or chronic pain in whatever region of the body, CBD has shown promise in providing relief.
CBD also is known as cannabidiol is one of the numerous compounds present in the cannabis plant. Not to worry, unlike THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD is not psychoactive and as a result, will not get you "high," neither is it addictive.
Its mechanism of action is to attach to the endocannabinoid system in the body and potentiate its activities. The endocannabinoid center in mammals is responsible for regulating several bodily functions such as memory, motor function, digestion, pain, appetite, bone growth, etc.
Research so far suggests CBD's ability to act on the endocannabinoid system in mammals can be leveraged for the management of pain.
Available in various preparations such as CBD gummies, tinctures or oils, CBD is easy to use. However, it is imperative to note that CBD should only be used as an adjunct therapy.
Also, you consult your doctor before using CBD or any other dietary supplements, as while CBD is relatively safe, a number of my respond negatively to it. Besides, there is also a chance it could interact negatively with your current medication.
At the moment, CBD based products are not adequately regulated and getting top natural CBD oils (or other dosage forms) could be difficult. Not to worry, you can get access to some of the best CBD products in the market.
